An asset to a special community
The Tarzana Community & Cultural Center is a beatific neighborhood green space in the midst of a concrete urban jungle. Enter the iron gates and be surrounded by original pine trees towering over grassy areas and California Native plants that share space with traditional rose gardens. Visitors can enjoy the serenity of nature in the bougainvillea-shrouded gazebo while listening to gurgling fountains and gazing upon the shaded koi pond. This “paradise on the corner” is open to the public and is available to rent for private events.
TCCC also offers a wide range of educational activities and cultural events. A new Children’s Teaching Garden replete with a greenhouse provides the perfect setting for their free summer gardening workshops. Current children’s programs include painting, music, and Hebrew. Adult watercolor classes are also offered in the beautiful garden. Cultural events throughout the year include Open Mics, Comedy Nights, theatrical presentations, concerts, speakers, art shows, and a variety of festivals and fairs. The Tarzana Community & Cultural Center was established to provide and maintain a facility, in a park-like setting, dedicated to the community for meetings, activities, and programs that nurture community spirit, the arts, education, and leadership, and preserve the history and unique cultural qualities of Tarzana.
